On May 24, 2025, the "Track Reconstruction · Future Promise" Russian Program Exhibition Event was co-hosted by Beijing Broaden & Top-Trans Communication Center (BTC) and Beijing Fangshan High School. Coinciding with the Cultural Festival of Beijing Fangshan High School Education Group on that day, teachers and students at the event recited Pushkin's classic poems in Russian and shared their personal journeys of language learning. There were also "little teachers" who taught daily Russian expressions on site; in addition, outstanding students majoring in Russian from Capital Normal University exchanged their learning experiences. Through interactive sessions such as interesting Q&A and introduction of the college entrance examination policies, students not only got to appreciate the unique charm of Russian culture, but also gained a direct understanding of the practical value of Russian learning in the further education path.
Upon receiving the event notification in early May, students from the Russian language classes immediately threw themselves into the preparation work. They made full use of their spare time for careful rehearsals, each showcasing their strengths: some systematically compiled learning materials into exquisite file books; some created Russian-themed handwritten newspapers; others took charge of venue arrangement and audio debugging. This event not only demonstrated their phased learning achievements but also cultivated their time management and teamwork abilities in the process of preparation.

The event kicked off with a sharing session by outstanding student representatives from the Russian major at Capital Normal University. Student Wang Zi analyzed the role of recitation in language acquisition from the perspective of cognitive laws, explained the path of accumulation and breakthrough through systematic learning practices, and recommended Russian learning platforms and media resource libraries. In the innovative segment, he played and sang the Russian song Mango Nectar on the guitar, analyzing phonetic rules in conjunction with musical rhythms to help the audience grasp intonation features. The event integrated language learning with artistic practice, showcasing the rhythmic beauty of Russian culture.
In the analysis of career development for Russian language students, student Lu Zhixin pointed out that as an official language of the United Nations, Russian serves as the cornerstone for deepening China-Russia strategic cooperation. Interdisciplinary talents hold core value in cross-border e-commerce, energy cooperation, and affairs of international organizations. Leveraging Russia's status as the world's largest natural gas reserve holder, Yandex's technological innovation system, as well as its resources in ballet art and top-tier academic institutions, China and Russia have built a multidimensional cooperation platform for technological collaboration, cultural mutual learning, and talent co-cultivation under the framework of the "The Belt and Road Initiative" through the "Power of Siberia" energy pipeline, joint laboratories, and educational qualification recognition mechanisms.
After three months of Russian language study, under the systematic guidance of teacher Wang Bifan, the first-year senior high school students have gradually mastered skills ranging from basic pronunciation to poetry recitation. Teachers and students delved into Pushkin's poem If by Life You Were Deceived, repeatedly refining the rules of Russian trills and stress to achieve an accurate presentation of the poem's rhythm. In the on-site performance, through voice control and rhythm mastery, the students layered out the dual moods of calmness and passion in Pushkin's verses, which confirmed the synchronous improvement of their language skills and humanistic perception.
Outstanding student representative Wang Minghao compared learning Russian to a poetic journey: at the beginning, the interference of English thinking made it extremely difficult for him to make progress. However, his focus on copying Cyrillic letters stroke by stroke in the morning light and his persistence in practicing trills eventually forged a deep bond with this language. He turned Russian into a rhythm of life — recording mood journals in Russian, appreciating original audio-visual works, and participating in cross-cultural dialogues, infusing loves into his learning process. Whenever he mastered the grammatical cases or suddenly understood a dialogue, the joy of sudden enlightenment always made him marvel at the magic of language.
Outstanding student representative Qiu Zixuan, driven by her passion for Russian culture, became one of the first students in the school's Russian language classes. In class, she focused on sorting out high-frequency knowledge points, and after class, she systematically summarized difficult problems, building a framework for language learning with rigorous planning. Her steady progress from the first monthly exam to a score of 141 in the midterm exam is a testament to her persistence in refining her pronunciation and delving into grammar day after day. Her experience proves that when cultural passion is combined with scientific methodology, foreign language learning will eventually become a key to opening up the world.
The most engaging and popular part of the event was undoubtedly the interactive game session. In the "Learn Russian with Me" segment, participants naturally grasped oral resonance techniques while imitating Russian greetings through fun follow-along exercises that emphasized pronunciation key points. The "You Describe, I Guess" activity helped deepen cultural understanding by showcasing Russian folk art and historical features through picture-and-text guessing games. The interesting Q&A on Russian cultural knowledge popularized festival etiquette in a competitive format, with enthusiastic participation from the entire audience pushing the atmosphere to a climax. Each session featured incentives such as Russian-style gifts and classic desserts, integrating pronunciation training and cultural cognition into interactive practice. This entertaining and educational model built an interactive channel between language learning and cultural awareness.
Finally, Director Tao Feifei pointed out at the briefing session on the Russian College Entrance Examination Program that the state has listed the Russian College Entrance Examination as a foreign language subject equally important as English, and more than 95% of university majors are open for application. Its core advantages are significant: the vocabulary requirement is only 1,800 words (43% of that required for English), the question types are relatively simple, and there are fewer than 50,000 candidates nationwide, resulting in relatively low competitive pressure. Statistics show that students who switch to studying Russian generally see their scores improve by 30-60 points, and those who are weak in English often see their single-subject scores jump from 90 points to over 120 points. This choice is suitable for groups such as those with a weak English foundation, art and sports students who have high requirements for cultural courses, and enthusiasts of Russian culture. With the deepening of China-Russia cooperation, Russian language students can obtain development opportunities such as government-sponsored study abroad and special training programs by central enterprises.
